“A dreamlike experience.”

“I can’t wait until next winter!”

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location surrounded by a beautiful community. We spent our honeymoon here and couldn’t have loved it more. The cabin was stylish and modern and super cozy with wood burning stove. The cabin is located within the grounds of the lodge but it still felt secluded enough and is surrounded by trees. “Everything we wanted and more.”

 Loved our little last minute get away. SUCH a beautiful spot first and foremost. Really nestled in amongst the trees. Didn’t even leave the vicinity on the two days we were there. Paths, Pub, shop, forest, playpark, river all within walking distance. A real joy. And then there cabin itself is stunning. Fresh, thoughtful as well as practically kitted out. We loved the wood burning stove and the very comfy bed too. Cornelius and Mette very welcoming and flexible. Great hosts. Had a super stay and plan on returning again soon we hope!— Clare . Glasgow

The bedrooms have absolutely stunning views; so so wonderful.

The annexe is stylish, comfy, well appointed. The beds are big and comfy, the bathroom has a lovely big shower and underfloor heating. The grounds and the walled garden are beautiful - so much colour. Mette greeted us and was so welcoming, and we found delicious bread, fresh eggs and even home-baked shortbread. The downstairs would be quite snug for four people during a longer stay but was cosy for two. A real gem and can't wait to stay again! Thank you

Great cabin, cosy, great views of the forest and some mountain

The cabin is nestled in the forest in a lovely area. It's warm, comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. Has everything you would need, even a bath and dishwasher. Cornelius and Metta are wonderful hosts, really helpful but give you your privacy. It's also convenient that you can walk or ride your bike without having to drive; there are lovely walks and cycling routes right on your doorstep. The village is also within walking distance so you can have a few beers and walk back to the secluded cabin. We had a lovely time there.

 The log cabin retreat is an absolute gem. We can't recommend it highly enough! This cottage is fantastic.

Beautifully decorated, very clean, comfy beds, warm duvets and even slippers for guest use! Watch for the friendly red squirrels he really cute. Great location, we hiked Ben A'an, kayaked on Loch Earn, and drove around Loch Lomond. Best place we've stayed. Book it you'll love it! - Laura June 2022 The Mews Cottage

We had a lovely stay in the mews cottage!

Great location for cycling, walking and wildlife watching. Loved the woodburing stove, delicious homemade shortbread, and red squirrel sightings. Great lunch/dinner options nearby for dining out

Can’t fault this cottage at all.

Possibly one of the cleanest places we have been to that is in the middle of the outdoors. We arrived slightly early and this wasn’t a problem. We didn’t realise that there was such a large area of woodland for us to use with our dog which was fantastic and he truly loved it. The interior is lovely and every piece of furniture is high quality.

Great place to stay

Very peaceful and quiet. You can hear the woodpecker very clearly! Seeing a red squirrel running past the cabin on two of the days while we were there was also fantastic! We were there as a family of four and the child's cot was a good one. The hot water pressure is low, but it was still enough to wash even pretty thick hair in the shower and the dishwasher takes care of the dishes. Woodburning stove is the icing on the cake. So toasty you'll need to open a window or two. It was very clean and well cared for as well. All the furnishings were in excellent condition. A great place to get away from it all. But still within walking distance to a pub!
